Quick answer: EDPI = mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity. Most players land between 400–1600 eDPI; pick one value and keep it for every game.
The right sensitivity is the one you can aim with consistently, not a number someone online recommended. For rgb setups, EDPI is the metric that actually matters.

Understand EDPI
A mouse at 800 DPI with 1.0 in-game sensitivity is 800 eDPI. Two players with very different DPI and sensitivity can share the same eDPI — which is why the combined number is what counts.
Find Yours by Feel
Set a value, then flick to a target across your pad. If you run out of mousepad, it is too low; if you overshoot with tiny movements, it is too high. Adjust until a 180° turn uses a comfortable swipe.
Keep It Consistent
Whatever you choose, use it everywhere. For rgb setups, muscle memory only forms if the sensitivity never changes between games or days.
Frequently asked questions
What EDPI do pros use?
A wide spread, but many cluster in the low hundreds to ~1600 eDPI. Copying a pro is less important than picking one value and building consistency.
Is low sensitivity always more accurate?
Lower sensitivity gives finer control for small aim corrections; higher sensitivity allows faster flicks. The best value balances both for how you play.
Should rgb setups change sensitivity per game?
Ideally no. Keeping one eDPI across games builds reliable muscle memory. If a game feels off, adjust the value once and keep it.
The bottom line
For rgb setups, the best sensitivity is a consistent one you can aim with. Find your eDPI by feel and never change it casually.
